Hola! I’m Carlos, born and raised in Valencia, now based on the beautiful island of Mallorca. I’ve spent over 20 years designing and leading exclusive biking and hiking adventures across Spain—specializing in immersive, active journeys that go beyond the usual stops.

As co-founder of The Ventourist, I create custom experiences that connect travelers with Spain’s landscapes, food, and rhythm—whether you’re pedaling through Mallorca’s coastal roads, hiking in the Pyrenees, or sipping wine in La Rioja. I love helping people of all ages and fitness levels explore at their own pace, with just the right balance of challenge and comfort.

If you’re looking for a highly personalized, deeply local outdoor experience in Spain—you’re in the right place.

Where Carlos can help

📍 Mallorca

My home base and the heart of The Ventourist’s cycling trips. I know the island’s best coastal rides, mountain switchbacks, and hidden cafés—and love designing Mallorca itineraries that balance performance and pleasure.

📍 Catalunya

From the Girona cycling scene to rugged hikes along Costa Brava, I help travelers explore this active, flavorful region at their own pace.

📍 Andalucía

Sevilla, Córdoba, the Sierra Nevada—I’ve led countless trips through the south, combining hiking, biking, and cultural exploration across white-washed villages and olive-covered hills.

📍 Galicia

This lush, lesser-known corner of Spain offers phenomenal walking routes, coastal views, and food experiences. I can help design trips from Santiago de Compostela to hidden beach towns.

📍 Basque Country

Basque cycling is world-class, with dramatic coastal routes, incredible food, and proud local culture. I love sharing routes most visitors never find.

📍 La Rioja

Ideal for slow travel and wine lovers—La Rioja is where I blend active adventure with vineyard stops and charming stays.

📍 Valencia

My hometown! I can help travelers explore the city and surrounding countryside by foot or bike, plus guide you to the best paella you’ve ever had.

📍 Gran Canaria

An incredible winter riding destination—Gran Canaria’s mix of volcanic terrain and coastal routes make it one of my favorite places for off-season trips.
